Welcome word:

Health informatics is one of the important disciplines that developed countries have begun to pay attention to, due to the urgent need for health institutions to take advantage of information and communication technology in developing their performance. This field is witnessing an increasing rapid development through successive developments in medical information systems represented in electronic health records and telehealth. This rapid technical progress has led to a growing need for cadres specialized in medical informatics to develop and manage medical information systems to enhance and achieve goals, including shortening time, saving costs, leading to the advancement of health care and reducing quality requirements.

Program vision:

The Medical Informatics program seeks to be among the best technical programs at the local, regional and international levels that meet the needs of the business sector in the field of supporting and developing health systems.

Program mission:

Supporting and supplying the local and regional community through the medical informatics program with a distinguished and effective graduate in the field of advanced medical information systems capable of providing the community with specialized scientific competencies qualified to compete in the labor market.

Program goals:

The program aims for graduates of the Medical Informatics program to acquire computer-related skills in addition to engineering skills to support medical engineering systems.
