Introduction:  Consultation Center of computers and information system at the Faculty of Computers and Information - Mansoura University is a  special unit, with its technical, financial and administrative independence issued by the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities No. (1) on 18 January 2006 and in accordance with the provisions of Article 307 of the Executive Regulation of the Law on the Organization of Universities No. 49 of 1972.

Center's objectives: Consultation Center of computers and information system aims to develop the practical and research aspect to provide proper Egyptian technology by regulating the use of technical and scientific capabilities and expertise at the College to interact with the current and future technical needs of the university and the surrounding community by the following means:

1. Development of scientific and informatics systems or scientific devices through self-financing of the center's activity
2. Use standard marketing methods to promote its service and productivity products
3. Holding training courses in various technical and scientific fields to raise efficiency and serve and develop the environment
4. Building programs, systems, databases and implementing technological and informatics services outside and within the university, through the general controls of the university and in a manner that does not conflict with the competences of the centers and other units of the university
5. Spreading awareness and knowledge of computer use in various applied activities
6. Supplying technical advice on computers and information systems inside and outside the university
7. Support for youth with creative and innovative ideas related to INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY and INFORMATION COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
8. Supporting youth innovators and attracting projects and innovations with financial resources, experience, workplace availability and advisory and technical services to achieve these projects
9. Access to an industry that serves the community in economic and service activities in the field of information technology

• Supplying and opening the fields of work for members of science clubs and entities related to scientific and technological activity and bringing graduation projects to the stage of actual application

The center consists of the following main units:

1. Decision Support Systems Unit
2. Information systems design unit and prefabricated software
3. Artificial Intelligence Unit and Expert Systems
4. ICT Business Development Unit

Services provided by the Center:

1. Building programs, systems and databases and implementing technological and informatics services outside and within the university
2. Spreading awareness and knowledge of computer use in various applied activities
3. Providing technical services to address various applied problems
4. Cooperation with training centers on modern technologies for computers and information systems
5. Providing technical advice on computers and information systems
6. The possibility of conducting feasibility studies to mechanize administrative and technical systems and prepare the brochure of conditions and specifications for companies
7. Holding training courses in various fields of computer for the students of the college of the center and students of the university as a whole and civil society  

The center's vision

1. Continue to develop training courses that meet the needs of different business sectors and serve and even contribute to the advancement of the business environment.
2. Focus on supporting information and technological consultations at the level of local and Arab universities to bring them to the world.
3. Increased activation of the website to transfer the experience and capabilities of the consulting center for foreign companies locally and internationally and civil society in all sectors.
4. Opening up the horizons and areas of cooperation with training centers abroad in the field of training and exchange of human experiences.
