Student care administration at the FCIS

Brief about student care

Student care is for not only youth service but also a completed process that aims for youths’ mental, social, physical, and emotional development. Thus, student care is regular activities and qualifying services that are protective in nature for youth. It also aims to develop them integrally to be proportional to their abilities and achieve their desires, preparing them to be good citizens who contribute to building and advancing their community.

The vision, mission, and private objectives relating to student care

Student care aims to stimulate the youths’ energy, hone their talents, develop their thinking abilities, and train them to take responsibility and leadership through preparing and executing the various programs and activities that contribute to supporting, and developing the youth through these activities, and strengthening the relationship between the students and members. From the government’s keen interest to provide the youth institutions and faculties with the required care establishing a student care unit is intended to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Meeting the economic, social, psychological, and physical needs of youth.
  2. Assisting students to have an integrated personality, and providing students with the characteristics of good citizens (responsibility, cooperation, teamwork, leadership).
  3. Participating with students to overcome problems and difficulties and to achieve continuity and success in their study.
  4. Finding out, encouraging, and developing artistic, cultural, and athletic talents, and investing the youths’ energy for their benefit.
  5. Raising students ‘awareness to protect them from perversion.

    The most significant activities for student care

     Sports activity:  aims to encourage athletic talents and seeks to develop them by creating sports teams and holding athletic festivals, competitions, and matches at the faculty and in the university generally, in addition, holding individual games competitions and upgrading winners at the university level. 

Scouting and Public service: aims to support the scout movement and participate in the projects of public service leading to perform its programs for serving the environment and the society. This is done through holding training camps for students on scout movement, participating in scout and guide festivals, holding camps for public service, encouraging cleanliness for serving the faculty and surrounding environment, and holding blood donation campaigns.

Social activity and journeys: aims to develop social connections between students and staff, promote cooperation among students to organize cultural trips, hold competitions, present social support for unable students by conducting social research, and present the compensatory devices for People with special needs through Social Solidarity Fund.

Cultural activity: aims to organize all sides of cultural activity, develop awareness of the homeland issues, strengthen democratic concepts, spread the culture of human rights and community participation, and hold the poetic and literature festivals, articles and stories competitions.

Holy Quran memorization competition

Artistic activity:aims to organize an artistic activity for students to discover their talents and hone their creativities by organizing artistic competitions in various fields (visual arts, theater, coral, music) and hold competitions and seminars and the most significant is (theatrical festival, sculpture, art handmade, singing and playing  on musical instruments competitions, and drawings.

Student families committee: aims to encourage founding and coordinating student families to promote cooperation between students and these families encourage the students’ activities such as (athletic, scout, cultural, artistic activities) and trips.

Technological and scientific activity: aims to hold scientific lectures and seminars to develop scientific abilities and spread knowledge applicably through supporting the students with creative minds, finding out the scientific talents and skills, and participating in scientific competitions and exhibitions. In addition, developing the abilities for communication, exchanging thoughts between the students and the university, spreading the scientific culture, and raising the scientific level
